Petrified wood is not as the name suggests, extremely frightened wood, but is actually fossilised! (Only joking!).It comes in all shapes and sizes from twigs to immense table sized sections. Sometimes obtainable in it's natural state but it is usually polished to bring out the beauty of its texture and the growth rings.
