Obsidian is black volcanic glass. Frequently found with inclusions of other minerals, for example the brown inclusions in Mahogany Obsidian. Apache Tear is transparent and very popular with Native American healers. Beautiful purple, yellow and green highlights are found in rainbow obsidian. The example on the left is snowflake obsidian.
